Are You Singing “Midnight Clear?”

Hey friends.  If your choir is singing “Midnight Clear” this coming season please let me know.  I would love to know who is actually performing it, or at least planning to perform it.  Send me a shout out!  Also, if possible, I’d love to hear a recording of your choir singing it.

Thanks for singing!

Hope you enjoy it…

and good luck.

  1. The Spelman-Morehouse Chorus is excited and just started working on it October 5th! They will be performing it at their ” 85th Annual Morehouse-Spelman Christmas Carol Concert” which will be aired across the nation early in December on PBS and on Christmas Day on various channels. Thank You Matthew Nielsen, it is a BEAUTIFUL piece!

    • Awesome! Thanks for you kind words. Glad your excited about it. That’s awesome that you’ll be broadcasting on PBS! Congrats on that! I’m make sure to put that in my schedule. Keep making beautiful music!

  2. My choir (at a Maine high school) is going to attempt this for our coming Winter Concert. It’s such a gorgeous piece, I hope we can manage it. (If not I’ll have to bring it to college and find a group to perform it.)

  3. Matt! This piece was really well written, for an undergrad, too might I add! Phenomenal flows and play with time signitures.
My high school, Pennridge High School is performing Midnight Clear at our Winter concert. I’ll have a recording of it and I will be sure to send it to you to keep you updated!
    Thank you,
    Pennridge

  4. My choir, the Mississippi College Singers, recently performed this at our annual winter concert. It’s been my favorite piece this semester since the day we started rehearsing it!

  5. Hi Matt! The UNO (University of Nebraska at Omaha) Concert Choir, University Chorus, and Chamber Choir are singing this piece for our “Concert of Hope” on Dec 2nd. I love this piece so much! It’s very beautiful and stirs a lot of love for my Lord in my heart!
